Hadley's 1st Easter

This is Hadley's last "first" holiday to celebrate! Yep! We've ALREADY almost made it one full lap around the calendar!! :( :( :( Even though the pangs of time slipping by are hard to take, we had a wonderful weekend celebrating this special holiday with our little bunny!

Mama decided to start the party a little early. On Good Friday, it was by time that we break out the bunny ears!

This little bunny was the STAR of Kroger, I'll tell you what!

One lady even stopped and pinched her cheek! Haha.... sorry Hadley!

Sooooo embarrassing, I know!

Daddy had off work on Good Friday, as well, so we drove over to Deep Ellum and had some delicious barbecue at Pecan Lodge! This place is super popular and you have to wait in a long line that wraps around the building to order.

Just another opportunity to parade you around in those ears! :) :)

On Saturday, Lissie and Aunt Claire joined us and we went on a little field trip an hour north of town to visit Texas Tulips - a tulip farm where you can pick an assortment of tulips to take home.

The tulips were disappointing, however, as it is almost the end of their season and a recent hail storm damaged a lot of them.. Not quite the photo op I was hoping for. We made due and found a few pretty clusters to take some photos around - because lets be honest... we came for the pictures, not the tulips! :)

Regardless of the quality of the tulips I'd say we got what we came for!

Buttttt, in case you need just a few more pictures of Hadley in her darling smocked bunny outfit. Don't worry. We've got you covered! :)

Such a fun day and it wasn't even EASTER yet!

On Easter morning, we kicked off the day by coming down to find what the Easter Bunny had left Miss Hadley and Boy was he generous!! Hadley must have been a good little girl - or else she is extremely lucky to have some very loving friends and family members! Most likely both! :)

Hadley's very favorite thing were the plastic Easter eggs - go figure! :)

This year we were excited to stay in town and celebrate our first Easter as a family of three at our new church home! Highland Park Methodist always does their Easter service at Moody Coliseum on SMU campus to accommodate the thousands of people who come to worship on Easter Sunday! It was a wonderful service and we enjoyed our first Easter as members of HPUMC.

After a morning nap for Hadley, we had brunch at Smoke, another barbecue restaurant (Mason was in heaven this weekend) at Hotel Belmont. It was delicious, as usual, and we got even more great pictures - this time with the Dallas Skyline as our backdrop!

It was a terrific weekend and we had so much fun celebrating Hadley's first Easter! This may be her last first holiday, but we know that the holidays to come will only grow in fun each year as we create memories together as a family!

Happy 1st Easter Hadley! Our blessings are many this year, but you most certainly top our list!
